Memorial Fund - Caring About Our Treasures

Lest We Forget

Site of the First U.S. Submarine Base - New Suffolk LI, NY

Memorials Fund

The US Submarine Veterans' Charitable Foundation established the Memorials Fund to act as a tax deductible means to aid Submarine related memorials and USN Museum Submarines. Many of these sites are repaired and maintained by volunteers that devote their precious spare time to insure the presentability of our heritage.

The Foundation Board of Directors, with input from the Memorials Fund Committee, administer this important outreach program. It is generally felt that these sites represent the Submarine Force and it's departed shipmates on Eternal Patrol.

The aid provided will be in the form of funds to purchase cleaning supplies, interior paint, polish, floor tiles, and other materials. Major construction projects that do not have tax deductible status may use this Fund as a means to raise money with tax deductibility provisions.

Funds will be distributed as they become available. Projects requesting support should do so well in advance of the proposed start of the project. The Memorials & Ceremonies Handbook, Chapter 7, has detailed instructions for bases to apply for USSVCF assistance.

There are currently several funds set up and they may be accessed by the links below.
